Adding some sunflowers

Well this shirt has been giving me fits! The sunflowers are starting to get stitched on but I broke a needle then ran out of bobbin thread. So I think I am going to give it up for tonight. I will finished it tomorrow evening. This shirt has not turned out like the vision I had in my mind but it will work.

Designing from scratch!

Well I have been working on this shirt most of the day> It is very big and flowing. Not what I have visioned in my mind. I planned on a deeper blue. I dyed it in midnight blue but it looked more purple. so I squirted a liquid dye on it and let it go. It is not complete yet I am adding sunflowers across the bottom. I hope to have it finished later this week .

Well I finally got working on some of my vintage clothing. I have a real passion for vintage linens. I have seen so many neat clothing made with them and love them. So I decided to make some with some of the beautiful linens I have hoarded! Enjoy

Found some goodies!

Went camping for the weekend. It was hot a humid! Went into Rockville my favorite town. They are stocking up for the Covered Bridge Festival that is in October. The stores will be packed with people from all over. I went to my favorite antique store, in the back they have a section for rug hooking. They have tons of beautiful wool. They have some kits and a table you can sit down at and practive hooking. They had a bin with these bundles for $10.00 bucks, I grabed two and plan to have some fun. I have some fun pieces planed with this wool!

Some goodies from the Antique store

Picked up these wonderful linens from the antique store the other day. I love old vintage linens. I plan to make some cool wearables out of these great linens. I hope to get started soon  I will keep you posted!
