Knitting..felting...weaving and beads!

I am almost finished with my niece's birthday present. Yes this scarf is for you Erin... I added a little bit of everything on this one and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I have added fabric beads with some beads wrapped around them. I am thinking doing some of these in lighter fiber for a more spring look...maybe with a summer flower. I would love to know what you think!

My mom's 90th Birthday Party

Is she not just a cutie for going to be 90 on the 27th of February! She was so excited for this party and she had a good time. We had good turn out of family and friends. I spent 11 hours yesterday baking this cake. She loved it and it was in her two favorite colors pink and purple. It has been a few years since I have done a big one like this! Everything went well and everyone seem to enjoy it.I could use a day off to relax but I don't get tomorrow off. So I am off to relax!

WIP

I have another scarf finished except the closure. I am planning on a felted yellow flower to hold it together. I love the bumpy yarn it is so fun and give it texture. I have been wanting to try some felted flowers for ever. I hope later this week to see if I can get one to turn out. Enjoy!

New Prim Curtains

I made some new prim curtains. I have had the material I used for the topper for a long time. I love crows and stars so decided I would use the fabric for curtains. The sun was very bright even though it was bitter cold yesterday. Last weekend I was only wearing a sweat shirt, this weekend layers and layers.......Spring I am ready for you!

Look what I got in the mail!

Ah some fun fiber to play with. I was a bit disappointed in the colors , the seem to be darker than what they looked like online. I will make it work! I have a plan, I hope I can bring it together. I am not sure what I am going to make with the silk cocoon strippings just yet. A mixed media picture might be on the horizon for that. I am off to get the creative thoughts in order!
