What are your New Year Goals?

Well another year is slipped away! Time seems to just fly by, I wish I could slow things down a bit. With a new year approaching we all have goals and such we want to accomplish. So for a little fun I am going to post some of my New Year goals and would love for you to share some of yours!

  1.  Take more time to create.   I am going to make more time to create.
  2. Get more organized.    I always have this on my list, I am getting better!
  3. Put myself out there!   This is one of my biggies this year.
  4. Make more friends.   You can never have enough friends. I have made many from the Hive! Love them all!!
  5. Take better care of myself.  Take my vitamins and get more exercise. Have less sinus infections!
  6. Smile more!!  Hubby says I don't smile much anymore, Maybe I need to feel better about myself. So if I focus on number 5 more I think I will get there.
  7. Have more fun with my kids! They are growing up so fast and I need to spend more fun time with them.
Ok I think that is my list for now. I would love to hear what is on yours!

Favorite Gifts

Well I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! I did except I got yet another sinus infection. It started Christmas eve. I did make it through Christmas, got everyone fed and entertained. That evening I hit the couch and that was all she wrote! I spent Sunday on the couch sleeping and fighting fever all day. I am getting tired of getting these infections. I think I get too stressed and my immune system gets low.  One of my New Year resolutions is to take my vitamins regularly and not let things stress me out so much.
I had to share my favorite gifts of Christmas. First was having my family all here and sharing a lot of fun and good times together! My sister got my these two great books and it was had not to drool while looking at them. I can't wait to start making something! I hope you all have a very Happy New Year!

Hugs to all!

All I want for Christmas is.........

Photobucket

This rustic cabin for a studio! Is this not a classic? We discovered this tucked away in the perfect spot when we were camping. We peeked inside and no one has been in it for a long time. Cobwebs and dust were everywhere, we saw a calendar that was from 2007! O I have been dreaming for ever of a cabin like this for a studio. I would be in heaven!! If Santa could just drop this off on my property it would be an awesome Christmas!! Hugs to all

I have a lot of work to do to get things working again. As for the things I have lost.....I learned a hard lesson. I should have taken in my computer a long time ago, and I will now get an external hard drive to back up to. I do know better, I have a degree in computer programming..shame on me is all I can say as I sit here and feel sick as I think of all the things I lost. Time to move on and get back to all my wonderful online friends!! Hugs to all Cindy

The Art Show was a success!

Last weekend was the Art show at the Frankfort Library. It was a fun festive evening Friday with sales doing pretty well for the weekend. I always look forward to the show and seeing all my good friends. This is a picture is my best est bud Linda. I am on the left and Linda the right. Linda makes beads out of wine bottles that are amazing. She is such a wonderful person. The other picture is of the Christmas tree that was in the lobby of the library. I thought it was pretty cool, they always have some kind of amazing tree to greet everyone. I am still battling a sinus infection, it is wearing me out. I hope you enjoy!! Hugs

They are growing up!

Well hubby said I had to get some pictures of these little darlings. They just stole my heart, these have to be some of the cutest kitties we have ever had. The two dark ones are both girls and the gray one is a boy. Blake named the gray one Gizmo and Makayla named hers Sadie. I have not thought of a neat name for mine yet. So leave me a comment with a cool girl name for my kitty and I will pick from you ideas. So come on creative sisters give me some ideas for my cute little fur baby. Hugs

Blog Party Where Country Women Create!

Well it is party time and here is my post for Where Country Women Create. I do live in the country in a old farm house, over 100 year old. We have remodeled and built on to it several times. My space had never had any kind of theme or real organization about it. I just had a place to work and after mass creating it would turn into a mess. Most of the time I could not find things I needed. I do many different kinds of art so I needed several places to do different things. I have made many attempts at getting a space that was organized and made me feel good working in it. I tried many different plastic storage containers, just didn't do it for me. No offense to those of you who use them. They just were not what I wanted. I wanted a place that was primitive, shabby and vintage in decor. I needed a space that made me happy. My niece came over and said "you need to display your work in here" this is my space. The only thing is I don't keep a lot of my work. I did display a few dolls I have and thought I should display some of my beading. I wear my necklaces all the time but I thought I would display some of them, I have to many to put them all up. I am thinking about a small tree that I could put up more of my jewelry. This is still in thought process. I am not completely finished but, close. I painted the floor, desk(not finished), cabinets and the tables. I still want to make some rosettes for my table. I am also finishing some art for the walls. I hope to finish some more and post more pictures this week. I would love to know what you think of my space. Enjoy Hugs for now

Behind this door is where my art comes to life!!

Fur Babies!

Well we got some new babies a couple of weeks ago. A stray cat adopted us and we discovered a short time later she was expecting. Makayla my vet to be, fixed her up a box in the shed. One evening three weeks ago we watched her have 5 adorable fur balls. They are so cute and of course she wants to keep them all! About a month before that we got two brothers. We needed some outside cats to help keep the mice down in the barn and shed. So here is Dr Evil as I call him....stretched out in the yard on a hot afternoon. Mr Oliver was missing in action so he didn't get his picture posted this time. And last but not least my indoor cat Whiskey. And yes he is a bit undernourished! LOL !! Enjoy HUGS
